And the roster just keeps on growing for Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile, the upcoming Ted Bundy biopic starring Zac Efron as the notorious serial killer. It was just announced that Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons would be joining the cast as Larry Simpson, the lead prosecutor in 1979 trial that finally convicted Bundy.
Parsons joins an already impressive cast of John Malkovich, Lily Collins, Haley Joel Osment, Jeffrey Donovan, Grace Victoria Cox, and most recently Maze Runner’s Kaya Scodelario. Extremely Wicked is told from the perspective of Bundy’s longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer (Collins), who refused to believe the truth of Bundy’s wicked actions for years before ultimately turning him in.
The film has already begun shooting in Covington, Kentucky and is being directed by Joe Berlinger.
More on Extremely Wicked:
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
