Jude Law and Eddie Redmayne Surprise ‘Harry Potter’ Fans at King’s Cross in London
Another September 1st has come and gone, and for many it marks the back to school season. While some children are buying books and binders to prepare, there are others out there who are buying wands and capes.
In the world of Harry Potter, September 1st is the day that the Hogwarts Express leaves London’s King’s Cross Station and heads to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Fans have been known to celebrate the special day with gatherings and by dressing up at King’s Cross. This time, the celebrations were interrupted by a few welcome guests.
Jude Law and Eddie Redmayne, the stars of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, made a trip to Platform 9 3/4 to surprise them.
Law plays a young Professor Albus Dumbledore, and Redmayne originated the role of Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in 2016. The two treated fans to selfies and also led the countdown to the Hogwarts Express leaving the station.
It certainly was a special Back to Hogwarts Day.
The Pottermore twitter page shared a snippet of the delightful surprise.

Warner Brothers released a video Friday that featured the cast and creator J.K Rowling, sharing their love for Hogwarts.
Rowling herself shares, “I loved going back to Hogwarts, of course I did. It looks very familiar to anyone who saw the Potter movies. But, obviously, the teaching staff are different. I felt quite sentimental going back to Hogwarts.”
You may have caught the special movie marathon happening on USA, just another way for us to celebrate. There were also plenty of events at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando, making it a special Back to Hogwarts Day, indeed.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will hit theaters on November 16th.
