‘Fantastic Beasts’ Star Joins ‘The Walking Dead Season 9

Don Fogler is going from magical creatures to the undead as the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them actor has just signed on to appear on the upcoming season of The Walking Dead.

There is currently no information about Fogel’s character, but with the cast and creators of The Walking Dead taking the stage later today at San Diego Comic-Con, the chances of some intel surrounding his mystery role are definitely high. Fogler joins Tony Nominee Lauren Ridloff, who was also recently cast to play a woman named Connie, “a seasoned survivor deft at using her senses to read people, situations, and trouble.” The character, like Ridloff herself, “is deaf and uses American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate.”

Perhaps Fogler will be a part of the new community called “Toledo” that was seen on a sign in the recent teaser AMC released for the season 9 trailer, which is dropping at SDCC. You can check that out below!

Fogler appeared in 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them alongside Eddie Redmayne as Jacob Kowaiski, a role he will be reprising in November’s sequel Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. He has also guest starred on The Goldbergs and Robot Chicken.

The Walking Dead San Diego Comic-Con Hall H panel will be held today (Friday) starting at 12:15 pm PST. The full trailer will be revealed at some point during the panel presentation. Stay tuned with us here at Fan Fest News for the latest and greatest out of SDCC 2018!
