Cast Announces That ‘Sex and the City 3’ Will Not Happen

So, we may never have closure in our relationships we had started with the girls from ‘Sex and the City’. The cast has confirmed that there will be no ‘Sex and the City 3’ in our future.

Sarah Jessica Parker who was a major supporter of the third installment in the movie franchise had a long interview with Extra where she was quoted as saying “It’s over…we’re not doing it. I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.”Cast Announces That 'Sex and the City 3' Will Not Happen

This statement came hours after rumors that Kim Cattrall was the reason that the movie was not happening. The rumors surrounding the fate of the movie were that Cattrall had so many ridiculous demands that HBO was not willing to accommodate. However, the only demand was that she simply just did not want to do the sequel. She was the only holdout.

Kristin Davis who played Charlotte took to social media to let her fans know the fate of ‘Sex and the City 3′ and express her frustration. “It is true that we are not going to able to make a (third) film. I wish we could have made the final chapter, on our own terms, to complete the stores of our characters. It is deeply frustrating not to be able to share that chapter (beautifully written by Sex and the City creator Michael Patrick King) with all of you. So we will just have our memories.”
