Aquaman won’t officially start production until this spring however, in preparation, the main cast got together this week for the first time to kick off table reads.
Direct James Wan captured the moment by posting a photo to social media and throwing in an awesome reference to the 1985 classic film The Breakfast Club.
The photo shows Wan along side Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa as well as Amber Heard (who is playing Mera) and Patrick Wilson (who is playing the villainous Ocean Master) and is captioned, “After school detention with the new Breakfast Club.”
Momoa first appeared as Aquaman in Batman V. Superman in 2016 and will also be playing the role in the upcoming Justice League film. Aquaman is slated to begin production this spring in Australia with a theatrical release date of Oct. 5, 2018.
