‘2 Broke Girls’ Canceled By CBS After 6 Seasons
The road has come to an end for 2 Broke Girls. CBS has canceled the series after six seasons.
This was the first time that the series was in jeopardy, and when CBS’ 16-show renewal list came out, 2 Broke Girls, which stars Kat Jennings and Beth Behrs, was missing from the line-up.
During its sixth season, the comedy was averaging a 1.9 among adults 18-49 age bracket and had a total of 7 million viewers. A 13-episode order was discussed and they attempted moving the series around placing it on Mondays and Thursdays but the lack of ownership is what led to its failure.
The news of the cancelation comes just as the network announced orders for 3 new half-hour comedies, including The Big Bang Theory prequel, Young Sheldon, which is expected to air after the flagship.
2 Broke Girls can still be seen on CBSAllAccess, Amazon Video, and YouTube.
