Meemaw has been dating Dr. Sturgis for a while. He’s sweet, quirky and affectionate. We also know that she’s been on a few dates with Mr. Rosenbloom. I guess Meemaw’s playing the field (inconceivable!).
Sheldon catches her going out with Ira… he’s not happy. Mary explains to Sheldon that it’s Meemaw’s decision and he needs to stay out of it. Meemaw is having a good time on the date. When Ira suggests going on a trip, she pauses. She admits that she’s dating two guys and she chooses John.
Ira tries to win Meemaw back by gifting her with furniture. He fails and Meemaw realizes she is falling in love with John. John confronts Ira and tells him to back off. They end up bonding over Meemaw. Meemaw doesn’t appreciate what John did and they have their first fight. She lays down some ground rules and thus, Sheldon’s love of contracts was born.
I wonder how Mary got to be the way she is. Meemaw raised her and is decidedly not as devote a Christian as Mary is. Back to the episode, I am getting really annoyed with Sheldon interfering with Meemaw’s love life. I am happy that Meemaw chose Dr. Sturgis. This finale was nice, there wasn’t any profound conclusion that you usually get with a season finale but none the less, I enjoyed it. Let’s see what Sheldon has in store for us next season.
