‘Young Sheldon’ Recap “A Computer, A Plastic Pony, And A Case Of Beer”
1980s Radio Shack, home of the Tandy 1000 SL computer.
Naturally, Sheldon tries to convince his mother to buy one. George suggests that Sheldon gets a job to pay for it, while Mary suggests they cut back on some luxuries to save the money.
Mary also has a secret. She has a secret stash of cash that she set aside in case they need it. The news shocks George, so to get even, he splurges on two cases of beer. Mary takes offense to this and tells the twins to pack their bags. They’re staying with Meemaw.
Now she has to buy Sheldon that computer. She even buys Missy a pony.
George is really starting to regret this fight. Georgie is proving to be useless around the house.
“How did I get a genius for one son and a rodeo clown for another?”- George.
George and Georgie discuss women and they make a bet that Georgie will be married before he’s 25. Georgie loses, marrying his first wife at 19.
Meemaw tells Mary that Sheldon is trying to use the computer to fix her marriage. Mary then goes to make George apologize and the two make up. Happily ever after.
Now everyone is using the computer.
Missy is hands down my favorite character. She is just so sassy, and so was Georgie. He had some fantastic lines in this episode. I really hope we continue to see his wit throughout the show. Also, my dad just informed me that he remembers Eliza… apparently, it was a big deal. I asked him if he talked to Eliza like Georgie did. I have yet to get an answer. See you all next week!
