‘Young Sheldon’ Recap “An Eagle Feather, A String Bean, And An Eskimo”

Sheldon is bright, no question about it, but he’s so advanced that the current school is no longer keeping his attention and he is lashing out at his teachers. The principal suggests a private school in Dallas that caters to children like him.

George and Mary can’t decide what to do, so they decide to let Sheldon’s opinion on the matter.

“When do I start?”- Sheldon

They visit the school and Sheldon immediately falls in love with the school. How can they say no?

Mary is upset that Sheldon is growing up and moving out, but not everyone feels that same way. Missy knows he’ll miss her, Georgie doesn’t care, and George and Meemaw think that this is a wonderful opportunity that he can’t pass up.

Sheldon seems to be adjusting well, but his family isn’t. Mary is a wreck and it turns out that Meemaw was lying when she said she was okay with Sheldon moving away. They miss him so much that George drives all night to pick him up and take him home.

Sheldon’s teachers didn’t expect to see Sheldon in class the next day… Well, it’s five o’clock somewhere.

This episode was refreshing. I always enjoy when the whole family is involved in the episode. I loved that Meemaw joked about Georgie graduating from high school and becoming a male model. It was also funny that Sheldon drove his teachers to drink. Knowing Sheldon, he’ll graduate early and his teachers won’t have to deal with him much longer.
