Lady Gaga Won’t Be Returning for Season 7 of ‘American Horror Story’ Despite Rumors

We’ve got some bad news, Little Monsters.  Despite a recent rumor that began circulating on several sites this weekend, Mother Monster, Lady Gaga, will not be starring in the seventh season of American Horror Story.

Entertainment Weekly confirmed the news that the singer will not be a part of the upcoming season after fans discovered an unconfirmed article that claimed Gaga would be part of the election-themed season.  Check out the tweet with the article below:

Now, just because Gaga will not be a part of this season doesn’t mean that it won’t be totally badass!  Co-creator and showrunner Ryan Murphy has been dropping hints and creepy teasers left and right via his social media pages and we are ridiculously excited about how this season is shaping up.

First off, we already know that season 7 of American Horror Story will be set to focus on the most recent Presidential election and will show a version of President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.  The new season is set to take place immediately following the 2017 election night and casting includes Billie Lourd, Colton Haynes, Billy Eichner and American Horror Story alums Sarah Paulson, Cheyenne Jackson and Evan Peters.

Over the past several weeks, Murphy has begun to reveal bits and pieces of details regarding the upcoming season including a pretty creepy potential new monster, a “red, white and blue clue” showing someone (most likely Evan Peters) with blue dyed hair, a totally new look for star Billie Lourd, and, his latest announcement showing another terrifying and twisted monster with a symbol drawn on its face.

With the 7th season centering on the presidential election, it’s completely unclear how any of these clues fit together or even how the fit with the supposed theme.  And, at this point, can we even trust anything that we are seeing from Ryan Murphy?  After all, all of the last season, American Horror Story: Roanoke, was completely about misdirection.  What if none of this is true?  Only time will tell as the creepy world of Murphy’s twisted imagination is brought to life.
