Ryan Murphy Teases Another Terrifying Clue for ‘American Horror Story’ Season 7

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy has been leaving a trail of terrifying clues that will, no doubt, lead us right up to the season 7 premiere of the series.  Using Instagram as his main platform for making casting announcements and for posting truly scary hints at what fans have to look forward to in the upcoming season, Murphy’s clues are getting darker and darker as the days go on.

Over the past several weeks, he began to reveal bits and pieces of details regarding the upcoming season including a pretty creepy potential new monster, a “red, white and blue clue” showing someone (most likely Evan Peters) with blue dyed hair, a totally new look for star Billie Lourd, and, his latest casting announcement that Colton Haynes would be joining the American Horror Story family.

On Sunday night, Murphy posted yet another creepy and extremely cryptic tease regarding the upcoming season.  Murphy posted a picture of what can only be described at a terrifying demon type creature with hands coming out of the top of its head as if they were antlers.  Its eyes are white and completely cold.  Outlined on its face is what appears to be a blue pentagram type shape.

The photo of the beast has a post-it tag attached to it with a word written on it.  All we can make out of the word is the letters, “mbol.”  We think the full word would be, “Symbol,” referring to, of course, the pentagram shape.  But how does this all fit into Murphy’s theme?

The photo is accompanied by the caption, “AHS Season 7 clue: ambidexterity.”  In looking up the meaning of the word “ambidexterity,” the word means, “is the state of being equally adapted in the use of both the left and the right hand. Only about one percent of people are naturally ambidextrous.”  We see a couple of references here.  First off, there’s the clear reference to the two hands protruding from the top of the demon’s head but, perhaps there’s a deeper reference.  Maybe to the left and right political parties?  Based on Murphy’s planned theme for season 7, that may not be out of the realm of possibility.

We already know that season 7 of American Horror Story will be set to focus on the most recent Presidential election and will show a version of President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.  The new season is set to take place immediately following the 2017 election night.  In addition to Peter, Lourd and Haynes, additional casting will include American Horror Story alum Sarah Paulson and newcomer Billy on the Street host Billy Eichner.

Other than that, no additional details are known about the upcoming 7th season but, watching it all unravel on Instagram is surely going to be a quite a ride leading unto the premiere.
