Kendrick Lamar Teases Involvement in ‘Black Panther’ Soundtrack

Just days ago, one of the biggest names in music released a music video for his latest single, LOVE. Kendrick Lamar’s album DAMN was a massive hit with fans and LOVE was quickly expected to be one of Lamar’s radio singles.

So about a minute and 53 seconds into the video, pay close attention. There’s a cutscene where Lamar hints at being part of the Black Panther soundtrack.

Lamar’s impact on the music industry makes him the perfect addition to the film’s soundtrack. Black Panther is the superhero movie pop culture fans have not just wanted, but needed, and now it’s debut is less than two months away.

Songs for Black Panther are associated so far with names like Run The Jewels, Vince Staples, and Gill Scott-Heron. Most recognized was Scott-Heron’s ‘The Revolution Will Not Be Televised’ which isn’t just a smash, but the perfect attention grabber. Adding Lamar’s vocal and lyrical talent will only enhance the already mesmerizing film sequences.

How he’ll be involved remains a mystery (a collaboration or a solo track) however, we’re hoping for the latter. The more Kendrick Lamar, the better.

Black Panther hits theaters on February 16th, 2018.
