Jordan Peele Unveils Chilling Poster for New Horror Thriller ‘Us’
Even though it’s been almost two years since Get Out hit theaters, we are still thinking about the disturbingly horrific story that Jordan Peele brought to the screen, earning him the Academy Award for Best Directing. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long to see what he does next as he’s quickly moving on to his next project – titled Us – and judging by the film’s first poster, it seems to be just as haunting.
According to IMDB, Us will follow a mother (Lupita Nyong’o) and a father (Winston Duke) who take their children to their beach house expecting to unplug and unwind with friends (Elisabeth Moss and Tim Heidecker), but as night descends, their serenity turns to tension and chaos when some shocking visitors arrive uninvited. The poster, which reads “A New Nightmare From The Mind Of Academy Award Winner Jordan Peele” shows a person in a red shirt clutching on to a pair of gold scissors. Peele, who shared the photo on social media, captioned it “Watch Yourself.”

This marks the second poster for the film, the first of which showed to dark faces looking opposite directions on a white background.

Some savvy fans were quick to notice that the faces on the first poster seem to mirror that of the scissors in the most recent one.
The good news is we won’t have to wait too long to see what Us is all about. Peele also announced on Twitter that he will be delivering the first trailer for Us to us on Christmas Day!

Much like Get Out, Peele will be directing Us from his own original script. The film is slated to hit theaters March 15, 2019! What do you think of the second poster? Any guesses on what psychological torture Peele will be putting us through this time? Let us know!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
