Fox interested in making a ‘Doctor Doom’ Movie

Being as the Fantastic Four has been one of the most well known and oldest team-ups in the Marvel Universe, Fox has been continuously trying to come up with ways to bring the franchise back to life on the big screen. After the 2015 release did take off as well in the box office as they would have liked, the production studio may be looking to take on the Four universe from another angle; or at least one of their characters.

Legion creator Noah Hawley closed off his panel for the FX show teasing that he is developing a movie for Fox that fans may rave over:

“Two words,” he said. “Doctor. Doom.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hawley is developing a feature project centering around one of Marvel Comics’ most recognizable villains with an eye to direct.

The character is the chief antagonist of Marvel’s Fantastic Four, the superteam created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby to which Fox has the movie rights.

Tim Story directed the 2005 film Fantastic Four and the 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and the 2015 reboot was directed by Josh Trank.

Doctor Doom (Victor Von Doom) is a scientific genius and rival of Dr. Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic). Dr. Doom is the ruler of the fictional country of Latveria, where he rules over his own kingdom. Julian McMahon played Doctor Doom in the Tim Story directed films, while Toby Kebbell portrayed the character in the 2015 version.

I’m highly intrigued by this, because it would be absolutely cool to see an entire film from a villains perspective. I’m sorry… a super villain’s perspective! While I love my hero’s and heroine’s, I’m not going to deny it, it would be pretty cool to see. Villains need some love too!
