First Look At New ‘Power Rangers’ Suits

Last month, we showed you a first look at Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa from the upcoming Power Rangers movie reboot. Today, Entertainment Weekly gave us our first look at the new Power Rangers, themselves!
The new cast, consisting of Becky G (as Trini, the Yellow Ranger), Ludi Lin (as Zack, the Black Ranger), Dacre Montgomery (as Jason, the Red Ranger), Naomi Scott (as Kimberly, the Pink Ranger) and RJ Cyler (as Billy, the Blue Ranger), will be looking futuristic and hi-tech in these updated suits.
Director Dean Israelite told EW, “The show was about kids coming of age, about metamorphosis. These suits needed to feel like they were catalyzed by these kids and their energy, their spirit.”
Production designer Andrew Menzies says, “Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that’s not man-made. You can’t win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.”
The cast is surely loving the new look as the Yellow Ranger, Becky G, told EW, “It’s the coolest costume ever. I’m gonna wear it for Halloween for, like, five years.”
