Darren Criss’ 2018 Elsie Fest Lineup Is a Musical Lover’s Dream

Published on August 30th, 2018 | Updated on August 30th, 2018 | By FanFest

These days Darren Criss is way past being a triple threat. Not only can he sing, dance, and act but he’s a brilliant songwriter, stage performer, Emmy nominee, and on top of all of that, he casually co-created an epic music festival called Elsie Fest.

The show is described as “New York City’s first outdoor music festival celebrating tunes from the stage and screen” and every year his lineup gets better and better. For example, in addition to Criss, last year’s attendees included Jeremy Jordan, Alan Cumming, Auli’i Cravalho, Ingrid Michaelson and his fellow Glee friends Lea Michele and Jenna Ushkowitz. It. Was. Iconic.

Never one to disappoint, Criss has officially announced the lineup for the 2018 show and it is fabulous! He shared the exciting news on Twitter, confirming that huge names such as Tony-winning Younger star Sutton Foster, Tony nominee/Carousel star Joshua Henry, and Glee alum/Once On This Island‘s Alex Newell would be headlining. The special guest stars are sure to impress as well with Grammy nominee Rufus Wainwright, The Flash’s Grant Gustin(hey, another  Glee alum!), The Little Mermaid’s Jodi Benson and more! Check out the full roster below.

The event, which will be hosted by Z100’s Elvis Duran, is taking over Central Park on October 7th! Pre-sales will begin September 5 at 10 AM for anyone who heads over to register at ElsieFest.com, followed by regular ticket sales on September 7 at 10 AM.

Criss most recently wrapped a chilling performance on Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace. His performance was heralded by critics and earned him his first Emmy nomination. He also just wrapped up a nationwide tour with his Glee co-star Lea Michele titled the LMDC Tour.

Have you ever been to Elsie Fest? What do you think of this year’s lineup?
