There Was Just a Fabulous Glee-Union at Darren Criss’ Elsie Fest

Every year Darren Criss puts on this amazing show in New York called Elsie Fest, which is described as “New York City’s first outdoor music festival celebrating tunes from the stage and screen” and every year his lineup gets better and better. In addition to Criss, this year’s attendees included Jeremy Jordan, Alan Cumming, Auli’i Cravalho, Ingrid Michaelson and fellow Glee alums Lea Michele and Jenna Ushkowitz.

In addition to seeing some of their favorite McKinley High New Directions members on stage, the man that started it all was present as well! TV juggernaut Ryan Murphy was in the house to introduce Lea Michele, who played Rachel Berry on the show, and afterward, the crew all got together for a perfect Glee-union!

Of course, the Glee fun didn’t stop there – it’s a Broadway music festival after all! Criss took to the stage to sing “Teenage Dream”, which was the first song that his character Blaine ever sang on the show and is still of the most popular performances from the series to date.

Powerhouse Lea Michele sang some of Berry’s most popular solos too including “Don’t Rain on My Parade”, “Maybe This Time”, and her song for Cory Monteith’s Finn Hudson, “To Make You Feel My Love”.
