Dan Smyers of ‘Dan + Shay’ Marries Abby Law in Nashville

There were wedding bells in Nashville Tennessee on May 13th as Dan Smyers of ‘Dan + Shay’ married his longtime love Abby Law in a sunset ceremony in the city. Dan and Abby were engaged in November after almost 4 years of dating and their engagement celebration was gorgeous. There were photos posted on social media of Abby with her gorgeous ring and love radiating from them both. They’re a couple that you can truly tell are in love.

So it made sense that they’d get married as soon as they could, and now…it’s official. The duo shared exclusive engagement photos with People from a session inside of a rented Airbnb in Nashville with an extremely talented photographer. The photos are simple, but stunning, much like the couple themselves.

Dan and Abby share a love of animals – especially their three dogs Chief, Joy, and Ghost – and the animals played as important of a role in their wedding as they do in their everyday lives. During their engagement shoot and interview, Dan said that he ordered tuxes and a dress for the pups, and we cannot wait to see the photos of that.

While Dan was busy up until the wedding on tour, he did share some insight into their ceremony just months ago with People.

‘The wedding is going to be very representative of the both of us. We’re both vegetarians so there’s going to be a lot of vegetarian and vegan food options, and our dogs are going to be in the wedding so it’s going to be very us and laid-back.’

Dan went on to say that it’ll be an incredible feeling to have their friends and family come to Nashville to be in the city where their love story began, and where it will continue to grow through new chapters.

‘It’ll be awesome to have all of our friends and family together in Nashville — a lot of them have never been here. We built our love story in Nashville and it’ll be cool to get everybody there to see where it all began for us.‘
