Detectives Carter and Lee are reporting for duty once more!
While on ESPN podcast The Plug, actor Chris Tucker confirmed that he will join co-star Jackie Chan for a fourth installment in the Rush Hour series, which is currently underway. “It’s definite. It’s happening. This is going to be the one. The rush of all rushes,” Tucker said. “Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people won’t ever forget this.”
Back in October, Chan confirmed the rumors of a fourth film, which he would only agree to if Tucker returned as well. “Rush Hour 4, we’re all like old men,” Chan told Power 106 LA’s The Cruz Show. “Before we get old, I tell Chris Tucker, before we get old, please do the Rush Hour 4.”
Chan and Tucker’s last Rush Hour adventure took place over ten years ago and was followed by a series of the same name on CBS in 2016, starring Justin Hires as Carter and Jon Foo as Lee. After one season, however, CBS cancelled the show.
