Justice League tickets finally going on sale wasn’t the only huge DC news we received today!
Yesterday evening, it was announced that Warner Brothers is developing a solo film for Deathstroke with The Raid director Gareth Evans in talk to both write and direct. Evans himself may have alluded to that on his Instagram two days ago, posting a photo of Deathstroke Vol. 1: Gods of War.
Since Joe Manganiello’s casting as Deathstroke last September, it was rumored that he would appear in Justice League thanks to test video Ben Affleck posted on Twitter of Manganiello in costume. There is no confirmation as to whether or not he will appear in the film, but ComicBook.com speculates that his possible cameo may have been scrapped as well as his possible role as the primary villain in The Batman.
There is no word yet, however, as to when the film will officially start production as Warner Bros has numerous projects scheduled and/or rumored such as a Cyborg solo film, Green Lantern Corps, Batgirl, and Gotham City Sirens to name a few.
