Avengers 4 re-shoots took place last week, along with some major promo art leaks for the film. Based on that art and the actors arriving for the shoots, we were able to decipher some very interesting changes to expect.
What’s particularly striking are the changes to the appearances to a few characters different from their appearances in Avengers: Infinity War.
The main leak happened a few months back, which included this image of the team in action:
Black Widow has her hair red and curly, with blonde at the tips. Scarlett Johansson peeks out a window a the reshoots, and you can get a glimpse of her new style. In the Avengers 4 concept art she’s a red head again as well, which is different from the short blonde do she sported in Infinity War.
Chris Evans strolled in with a clean shaven face-different than his rough beard and long haired look in Infinity War, revealing that Cap is back in his costume, with a neat haircut and clean shaven face. The promo art also show Captain America with short hair and a clean face, as well as a brand new cleaned up, shiny looking suit.
The pair had been on the run since the events of Captain America: Civil War, with Cap growing a beard, longer hair and not wearing the stars and stripes on his uniform. Avengers 4 set photos did show Cap in his Battle of New York costume, suggesting there’s some time travel going on.
This would tie in with Black Widow having red hair as she did in Iron Man 2 and the first Avengers movie in which the Battle of New York took place.
It’s certainly possible, although Cap is wearing his suit from Civil War, not the smoother, cartoony costume from the first Avengers movie. That doesn’t mean he and Widow won’t adopt their old looks for a mission back in time.
Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) seems to be the same as we just saw him in Ant Man and the Wasp, and Hulk is wearing clothes, suggesting he’s become Professor Hulk.
The re-shoot images can be found on Just Jared.
Avengers 4 will star Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Evangeline Lilly (The Wasp), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon).
The next Marvel film to grace us is Captain Marvel on March 18th, 2019. Avengers 4 is due out in May of 2019.
