On the 6th January I shared a story about a man called Alexander who is currently battling liver cancer, mouth cancer and bone marrow failure. As a Marvel fan he hopes to see Avengers: Endgame but fears that he may not be around to see it when it is released. You can read the story here
Since the story went viral online, Alexander has opened a twitter account and has recently reported that Disney have reached out to him in order to make something happen.

The news soon appeared on Reddit where it has been upvoted almost 40,000 times in just 16 hours.
On his update to his original post which has now been upvoted 100,000 times, Alexander wrote
“I cried when I read their email… It’s everything I hoped for and I owe it to all of you.”
The internet worked together to get the word out. Thanks to everyone who got involved, Alexander now has a very high chance of seeing Avengers: Endgame before he passes.
Well done to everyone who made this a reality. Thank you for tweeting, tagging, and sharing his story. More importantly, Thank you to Disney and Marvel for listening to the fans.
It’s amazing what people can do when they join forces. Alexander’s story is a perfect example of this. Despite him struggling with his multiple conditions, he was able to unite Marvel fans and superhero fans alike from all over the world for one amazing cause.
Thank you for making this possible for a fellow Marvel fan and hero.
