When the kids failed to listen to Katie’s premonition of warnings from two weeks earlier such as Anna-Kat (Julia Butters) needed to work on her science project which she didn’t and it is due the next day, Oliver (Daniel DiMaggio) needed to wear a jacket so he wouldn’t get sick which he didn’t so he is now sick and of course Taylor (Meg Donnelly) needed to clean her room and find her jersey which she didn’t and the jersey is lost in the pit she calls a room. On top of that when Greg (Diedrich Bader) still has not installed the “new” printer they bought two years earlier Katie (Katy Mixon) decides to flip her “Mom Switch” off.
All the mothers out there know what it means to flip that “mom switch” off but in case you don’t know it means, you basically cease and desist all mom activity until your family gets their crap together. For Katie, when she flips her “switch” she turns off her phone and heads to the local Hideaway store. This is your basic “big box store” where you can find everything from free food samples to patio furniture and everything in between. This is where Katie retreats and befriends Hideaway employee Adam who is her “Hideaway” husband. He gets her and sees her for the saint she truly is.
Meanwhile, while Katie is on strike she leaves Greg in charge of the children and installing the printer. Greg then brings Viv (Leslie Bibb) on board to help with the children while he fights with the now out of date printer. However, Viv learns she is not sure was born with a “mom switch” when she is not able to handle dealing with the Otto children and before long they all go in search of Katie and at her secret “Hideaway”.
Instead of getting angry, Katie decides to flip her mom switch back on and helps deal with her family issues as well as help Viv not only find out she is pregnant but that she does, in fact, have a mom switch as well.
