I’m totally buggin’ guys! The 90s film, Clueless is getting a Paramount Pictures reboot.
The classic film, originally written by Amy Heckerling, is a modern take on Jane Austin’s Emma. The original film starred Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz, a wealthy high schooler who takes the new girl, Tai, played by the late Brittany Murphy, under her wing to help her fit in.
The film also starred Stacey Dash as Dionne, Paul Rudd as Josh, Donald Faison as Murray, Elisa Donovan as Amber, and Justin Walker as Christian. It’s not yet clear if any of the stars will return.
The film is still in the early stages so not many details are clear. We do know that “Girls Trip” writer Tracy Oliver will produce and “Glow” writer Marquita Robinson will write the script.
Crazy excited to be producing a *new* take on one of my favorite movies of all time, #Clueless, with the hilarious and super talented @MarqRobinson writing it!!! As. If. https://t.co/wNH2OIdopQ

“As if” that’s not all to be excited about, there’s also a musical version of the film which will begin previews on November 20 with the official opening on December 11. Clueless: The Musical is slated for a limited engagement and will close on January 12.
