Ridley Scott, the mastermind behind Alien and Blade Runner, is heading to TNT as the network as given his new sci-fi drama Rasied by Wolves a straight to series order. Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners) will write and serve as showrunner with Scott making his TV directorial debut under his Scott Free Productions banner alongside TNT’s Studio T and Madhouse Entertainment.
According to Deadline, Raised by Wolves “centers upon two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.”

What constitutes a family? And what if we could start over again and erase the mess we’ve made of our planet? Would we survive? Would we do better? Given TNT’s impressive run of bold, quality programming, this feels like exactly the right home for this kind of ambitious television,” Scott said in a statement.[/row]
Raised by Wolves marks another partnership for TNT and Ridley Scott. The director served as an executive producer on 2007’s The Company and will be continuing his growing sci-fi programming block for the network with upcoming series including I am the Night with Wonder Woman’s Patty Jenkins, Snowpiercer, and Tell Me Your Secrets.
[row]“Ridley Scott is simply the best there is in the sci-fi genre. Besides directing some of the most important sci-fi films of all-time, Ridley has created iconic characters from Alien’s Ripley to Prometheus’ Elizabeth Shaw. We’re thrilled to have Ridley do the same for us as we look forward to his vision of Aaron’s complex and futuristic Mother. It’s incredibly rare to be able to make television that both challenges one’s intellect and also thrills the excited fangirl side—Raised by Wolves is that rare show that does both,” said Sarah Aubrey, executive vice president of original programming for TNT.[/row]

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
