This Sunday’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Will Be Its Shortest Episode Ever
This season of Game of Thrones is already flying by. We are almost four episodes into our seven episode season, so it’s safe to say that we want those to drag out as long as possible. Well, it urns out this this weeks episode, “The Spoils of War” will not be acting in our favor. The fourth episode of the season is clocking in as the shortest episode in the entire series, with an official running time of 50 minutes.
The first three episodes have been hitting about 60 minutes, so this is a pretty big cut in time and while it only takes the record for the shortest episode by a minute or so, it is definitely not the ideal moment to be taking time away from us! Jon Snow is in Dragonstone for goodness sakes!
Although, at the end of the day we all trust D.B. Weiss and David Benioff and know that the episode is going to be short for a reason and is probably what’s best for the season’s narrative and overall flow. Thankfully, it’s only a one time thing as next week’s episode will be back to it’s regular 59 minutes and the season finale will be more than 80 minutes.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
