‘The Walking Dead’ Cast Hilariously Do Their Best Negan Impressions

There have been a lot of serious and emotional news stories lately about the upcoming season of The Walking Dead. Both the fans and the cast are sad that the show’s lead Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) will be leaving the series during the ninth season and that Lauren Cohan (Maggie) will also be leaving, albeit not necessarily permanently. Any way you look at it, fans of The Walking Dead have had a rough past couple of months, so how about something that will definitely make you smile?

During San Diego Comic-Con weekend, the cast of The Walking Dead including Lincoln, Cohan, Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Danai Gurira worked the press circuits after delivering their Hall H panel presentation. While doing so, the folks over at IGN got a little creative with their interviews.

IGN’s Terri Schwartz decided to break the ice by asking the cast to do some impressions before getting into her interview questions. She asked the cast to deliver their best Negan impressions given that he has a verbacious way about him and that he has some of the coolest most colorful dialogue on the series.

The first person to jump at the opportunity to mimic Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan was his good friend Norman Reedus. Reedus’ impression was definitely passionate and he even through in some of Negan’s mannerism too, including a Reedus version of the Negan Lean.

Next up was Andrew Lincoln, who if you ask us, had the most spot-on accent of the bunch, until he was overcome by the wordiness of Negan’s dialogue. The most adorable Negan impression, without a doubt, goes to Danai Gurira who literally smiled the entire time she delivered some of Negan’s most menacing lines.

Throughout the whole clip, Jeffrey Dean Morgan was sitting back and grinning with delight. Check out the cast’s awesome impressions below as well as the interview with IGN which immediately follows.

The Walking Dead will return with new episodes starting October 7th. What do you think of the cast’s Negan impressions? Who delivered their dialogue the best? Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
