The Good Doctor star Will Yun Lee is stepping out of St. Bonaventure Hospital and into a huge action/drama role in a brand new project currently in development.
Lee will star in a new feature trilogy called The Rogue Warfare Trilogy. According to Deadline, the new trilogy of films are directed by former stunt coordinator Mike Gunther and all three parts of the trilogy are being filmed at the same time.
The films center around an international special forces team comprised of the best and brightest soldiers hailing from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, China, and Russia. The newly formed special forces team has been tasked with seeking out and destroying terrorist cells known within the Middle East. Lee’s character will lead the international team through their dangerous missions to fight the terrorists.
In addition to Lee, the films also star Essam Ferris (Supreme Leader) and Marwan Naji (Scientist) as well as Chris Mulkey as Commander Brisco and Stephen Lang as the U.S. President.
Gunther is also writing the project along with Andrew Emilio DeCesare and Michael Day. The trilogy is financed by Ingenious and will be distributed worldwide by Highland Film Group and 5150 Action Productions with the first film expected to be released in March of 2019.
Lee is also currently filming the highly-anticipated second season of ABC’s The Good Doctor and was recently promoted from recurring to series regular for season two. He plays Dr. Alex Park, a former cop turned doctor. Lee also recently starred in Netflix’s Altered Carbon.
