‘Sailor Moon’ is the Newest Attraction Coming to Universal Studios in Japan!

The superhero herself may be fighting evil by moonlight and winning love by daylight, but she’s about to be honored by something amazing – she’s getting her own ride! That’s right, there’s a Sailor Moon attraction coming to Universal Studios Japan, and it sounds just about as awesome we could ever dream it to be.

The ride was first announced back in December, with very little details. Now, we’ve got the deep dish details on how awesome the ride and its accompanying features are going to be. That’s right, features!

At the end of this 4-D ride, there will be a cafe with special Sailor Moon themed cuisine.

The new ride is called Sailor Moon The Miracle 4-D Ride, and it aims to put you right in the middle of an adventure with your favorite Sailor Soldiers, as the ride’s official description says:

“After sensing an unsettling energy from Universal Studios Japan, Usagi Tsukino and the other Sailor Soldiers, along with Luna and Artemis, infiltrate the park to investigate. At the 4-D Cinema Theater where we’re currently playing their movie, they find that the source of the dark premonition is a monster that is stealing the park visitors’ energy! Fighting against the unspeakable power gathered by this monster, the Sailor Soldiers quickly find themselves in a bind. They need your help to face the danger. Place your trust in them. The battle starts now…”

The ride itself will last about 20 minutes with lots of different kinds of interactive segments, including splashes of water and other cool “4-D” stuff combined with the visuals and video elements.

Upon leaving the ride, you can head over to a special cafe area where you can check out the Sailor Moon Cafe Plate, the Moon Prism Power Cake, and a Sailor Moon Drink. You can also have your photo taken and peruse around in the gift shop including goodies like keychains, T-shirts, bags, and various other accessories.

If you’re looking to check out the Sailor Moon ride eventually, the ride and shops will open up Mar. 16.

Here is to hoping this ride will eventually come over to the US! In the meantime, I’m going to start saving up for my trip to Japan!
