Now that all of the female leads have been cast on Netflix’s upcoming series based on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, it’s time to finally cast Harvey Kinkle, and we are happy to report that Disney channel alum (Austin & Aly, Teen Beach Movie) and My Friend Dahmer star Ross Lynch will be filling the male lead’s shoes.
Harvey Kinkle is described as “the prince charming of this dark fairy tale, Harvey is the son of a coal miner, a dreamboat and a dreamer, completely unaware of the dark forces conspiring to keep him and Sabrina apart.” He will play an integral part in Sabrina’s story as she struggles to find her identity being both half-witch half-human all while battling the dark forces that threaten her family, friends, and the town of Glendale. Harvey Kinkle was played by Nate Richert on the original Melissa Joan Hart series from 1996-2003.
The series is based on the Archie comics series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and comes from Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Berlanti Productions, and Warner Bros. TV. Lynch joins an already near-perfect cast of Kiernan Shipka (Sabrina), Miranda Otto (Aunt Zelda), and Lucy Davis (Aunt Hilda).
Are you excited to see Lynch in the Netflix series? We sure are!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
