While you’re out, running around town, trying to catch those legendaries, Fathom is planning a pretty cool event for Pokémon lovers everywhere.
Through Fathom Events, the fan-favorite film Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! will be heading to theaters for a limited two-day run. Fans of the film, worldwide, will be able to see the origin story of Ash and Pikachu’s first meeting come alive on the big screen as they embark on their very first adventures together searching for the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh.
With the success of the Pokémon Go app game, now in its second year of running, this is a great opportunity for Pokémon fans, both old and new, to celebrate their love for the series. Colin Palmer, VP of marketing at The Pokémon Company International commented on how the event is the perfect way to bring fans together:
“As an origin story, ‘Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!’ is the perfect way for a new generation of Pokémon fans to experience the beginning of Ash and Pikachu’s friendship, and it offers longtime fans an exciting new look into the start of their epic adventures.
