“Neverwinter Nights” Enhanced Edition Available On Consoles for First Time Today
Neverwinter Nights, the 2002 acclaimed Dungeons & Dragons based PC game and its 100 plus hours of DLC content is now available on consoles in an enhanced edition by Skybound Games and Beamdog.
When originally released Neverwinter Nights won multiple awards including RPG of the year and now coupled with its 10 standalone DLC adventures comes to consoles for a new generation to experience in both digital and physical editions for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.
Included in Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition is the base campaign, the expansions Hordes of the Underdark and Shadows of Undrentide, as well as numerous premium modules including the Wyvern Crown of Cormyr and the Pirates of the Sword Coast.
Players will be able to fully customize their character’s skills and appearance with a variety of in-game items as well as tweak their hero’s class to match their preferred playing style. Thankfully, players will not have to embark on this adventure alone as co-op play, either locally or through online multiplayer, is available. Those purchasing the game on Xbox One will have to wait until January 2020 for a patch adding in online multiplayer but PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch owners have a day one patch adding in the feature.
Neverwinter Nights has been optimized by Beamdog for consoles and features high-resolution widescreen displays, bug fixes, and an upgraded engine to improve the game’s visuals. Physical editions of Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition have an MSRP of $49.99 and are available at all major retailers now.
