Marvel VFX Supervisor Teases new Property, new Characters

We recently had the opportunity to talk with Stephane Ceretti to get ready for the Blu-Ray release of Ant-Man and The Wasp, where he told us all about what it takes to bring the visual effects of such massive films to life.

According to Ceretti, he will be working on a new Marvel property with a whole new cast of characters very soon.

I’m waiting for my next (Marvel), which is going to start sometime next year. I can’t really tell you exactly what it is because it’s not been officially fleshed out. It’s a new property, it’s a new set of characters, so again, super exciting for me because I like doing origin… I don’t know if it’s gonna be an origin story, but I like doing new things, so I think that one’s going to be really fun.

Marvel has a slew of films in production, but none that involve all new characters. Here are the ones we know are in production: Captain Marvel, Avengers 4, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Guardians of The Galaxy 3. Right now they have X-Men: Dark Phoenix, New Mutants.

Rumors have swirled that Marvel will be working on a Dark Avengers or Young Avengers story, so he could be referring to that. That team would include the daughter of Scott Lang/Ant-Man.

Ceretti has worked on several Marvel properties, including as VFX Supervisor of Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Ant-Man and The Wasp. He also worked on Captain America and Thor: The Dark World.

What do you think the new property could be? Do you have any theories?
