Marvel Offers ‘Create Your Own’ Comic App

Have you been aching to bring your favorite comic characters to life on your own? Now could be your chance!

Marvel announced that it will be teaming up with Tap Tap for the release of Marvel: Create Your Own. In the digital app, fans can choose from some of their favorite marvel original comic characters. It doesn’t look like outfits are switchable, but you will be able to customize backgrounds, page layout, text and props!

Check out some examples of what can be done with the app:

One interesting part about the app is the fine print.

There is a list of content that you cannot add to your comic in hopes of the app remaining kid and family friendly. It prohibits things like sexual content, drug use, guns, or revealing outfits. Along with that swearing and the insinuation of bad language is also prohibited (i.e. @#X!). Social issues, double entendres, amusement parks (other than Disney amusement parks), movie studios (other than Marvel) and sensationalism are also not allowed to be included.

Regardless, those who dive in and create stories within those guidelines will have the opportunity for Marvel to get eyes on their ideas, and who knows where it could lead!
