Marvel fans, rejoice! Today was an incredibly surprising day because we received our first proper look at Marvel’s upcoming film, Black Widow.
Despite her death in Avengers: Endgame (Sorry), Natasha Romanoff lives on in all of her glory. Black Widow will focus on Natasha’s life and the secrets that she has shielded from the world. This will be our chance to learn more about our favourite assassin, where she came from, her training and, more importantly, her family. Even Endgame gave us a little peak into what to expect with Red Skull stating her father’s name.
For those who want to know, Black Widow takes place after Civil War but before Infinity War. After Black Widow helps Steve escape the airport battle, Widow goes into exile and this film will show what she got up to. This will probably involve some flashbacks originally teased in Age of Ultron which finally showed how she became the deadly assassin that we all know, love and fear.
The first trailer for the prequel was released today and we have a lot to look forward to.

One of my favourite aspects of this trailer, excluding seeing Black Widow back in action, was David Harbour. I think it is safe to say that Hellboy wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, so this might be his opportunity to prove that he is cut out for the superhero gig.
The trailer was an excellent introduction. I think fans have a lot to look forward to and I can’t wait. From the looks of it, we’ll be sure to receive plenty of epic fights, action, laughs and new costumes- the perfect Marvel recipe. Delicious.
What did you think of the trailer? Leave your thoughts in the comments. What are you most excited about?
Black Widow is due out in May 2020.
