It’s been a while since some official news came out of Fox or anyone from the Gotham cast. We’re slowly moving to its fifth and last season, and they promise us one of the best seasons we ever had. Filming started back in July, and since then the internet has been going crazy about set photos fans are releasing.
The fifth season will unmistakably be the best to come, as it’s going to give us a vast range of classic villains from the comics. We’re here to tell you, that there is yet another villain’s name you can add to the list. Gothamites, meet Margaret Pye, also known as Magpie!
This lady loved everything that’s pretty and shiny from a very young age, which of course led to her wanting everything. She started working at the Gotham City Museum of Antiquities to be surrounded by the shiny and pretty objects that she loved.
Gotham star Robin Lord Taylor, who portrays Penguin from the very start, was the one to reveal the news at the Fan Expo Canada last weekend. When he was asked if Penguin would have an interaction with Bane, not only was Bane officially confirmed, but also Magpie.
“All I can say is I hope so. Because every time we have a new villain, especially one like Bane, who is coming in, and we’re also introducing Magpie this year, which is really exciting. But again, anytime he interacts with these characters it changes him and makes his character more interesting, and it gives him something to overcome. That’s part of getting deeper into the character, how he’s affected by these other incredible characters that are in the Batman universe.” – Robin Lord Taylor at the Fan Expo Canada
