Gaming: ‘Magikarp Jump’ is now the latest addictive trend
As fans of the popular ‘Pokémon Go’ are looking forward to the first year anniversary of the mobile game, awaiting to see what events will be taking place, there is now a new game in town; Magikarp Jump!
This brand new Pokémon game, designed by video game designer Ken Sugimori, has launched for both iOS and Android has proven to be as equally, if not more addictive. Remember Flappy Bird? If that game got you hooked, Magikarp jump will definitely be reeling you in!
Magikarp Jump takes one of the most useless, splashing critters in the Pokémon universe and turns it into something fun. In the game, the goal is to go fishing for a Magikarp and then train it to jump the highest.
Players will have to train their Magikarp to jump by feeding it berries and competing in jumping leagues.
“During your training, if Magikarp gets knocked out, or retires upon reaching Lv. 20, you’ll start over with a new generation of Magikarp. But not all progress is lost – your new Pokémon will start off a little bit stronger than your last. Keep training every Magikarp until you can make it to the top of the in-game tournament ladder!”- the game’s description reads.
