Gal Gadot Marks the End of Filming for ‘Wonder Woman 1984’

Wonder Woman is one step closer to making her triumphant return to the big screen in 2019. On Sunday, film star Gal Gadot announced that Wonder Woman 1984, the upcoming sequel to the record-breaking 2017 film, has officially wrapped filming.
Gadot shared the news via her social media pages posting a heartfelt note to her Instagram account along with some behind-the-scenes photos. Gadot writes, “We did it. Again!! And as much as the first time shooting Wonder Woman was amazing, this time was even more unique and special. We shot in 4 very different locations in 3 countries, and I’m so soooo proud of the almost 1000 crew members who came to set every day, giving everything they have into our movie.”
She continues on to gush about director Patty Jenkins who is returning to direct the sequel film as well and to thank fans for all of their support. Check out her full post below.
Wonder Woman 1984 is propelling the titular superhero into the world of the 1980s where she will face an all-new villain; Cheetah (played by Kristen Wiig). In addition to Gadot and Wiig, the film also stars Pedro Pascal and will see Chris Pine returning to reprise his role as Steve Trevor.
Jenkins returns to direct and produce the sequel film along with Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Stephen Johns and Gadot producing as well. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns, and Walter Hamada are the executive producers.
Wonder Woman 1984 will hit theaters on June 5, 2020.
