Last Sunday’s episode of Fear the Walking Dead was definitely intense. Though many fans have felt the show was slow-moving in the beginning, things have certainly started to gain momentum. We saw hand-to-infected hand combat, some serious tension building aboard the Abigail and perhaps, some speculation on the true intentions behind Strand’s sudden disclosure that he has a safe haven in Mexico. So, with all of this conflict brewing for the survivors, what happens next?
Showrunner, Dave Erickson, chatted with Entertainment Weekly about all the action and, when EW asked for a little teaser about what to expect in the next episode, Erickson’s response promised some big developments:
“Next week, the tension on the boat is heightened now, because of what Strand just did. Madison and Travis are desperately trying to figure out what’s the best play, and just as they’re about to make that decision, they’re interrupted by something tragic, and horrible, and violent. So there’s going to be a big shift next episode, which is going to redirect everyone’s attention. It’s going to be good.”
