David Fincher to Direct ‘World War Z 2’

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Friday that David Fincher is officially on board to direct the World War Z sequel.
The confirmation came from an interview with head of Paramount studios, Jim Gianopulos.
“What’s the status of the World War Z sequel?
We’re in advanced development.
Yes. And Brad Pitt.”
So there it is! On the table and official. Fincher has directed some big flicks in the past. including Gone Girl, and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. He is rumored to be heading the sequel to the latter as well.
Jumping in to direct a sequel without having directed the original may seem like a daunting task, but Fincher jumped in and headed up Alien 3-so I think we can trust World War Z 2 to be in his hands.
