Dave Franco Explains the wait to work with his Brother, James

When it comes to talent, charisma, and the ability to make fans almost double over in laughter: Dave and James Franco have it all.

Both Dave and James have made names for themselves as incredible actors in the business but the pair, who many anticipated would collaborate on a film, have only just taken on their first project together.

The film, The Disaster Artist, hits theaters on December 1st and tells the story of the making of The Room which has been called one of the most ‘delightfully dreadful’ movies ever. If you’ve not seen it, the film follows a love triangle but not at all in the typical way we’re used to. It’s hard to explain the movie, it’s one that you just have to watch.

Or, it was. Now, you can just wait to see The Disaster Artist which, from the newly released trailer, looks sort of fantastic.

Seeing Dave and James on screen is fantastic and it’s also brought up the question as to why it took these two so long to work together.

Dave himself answered that question and his response was perfect and actually made a lot of sense.

‘I don’t know, I didn’t want people to think I was riding his coattails. I just wanted to do my own thing. To be completely honest, when I was first starting out, everyone knew who James was and so I just made a choice that I just wanted to do my own thing for a little while.’

We think it’s awesome that he wanted to sort of pave the way for himself but we are also glad he finally feels like he did because we can’t wait to see this movie, if not just for the plot, because they’re incredible.

You can watch the trailer for the movie above and don’t forget to check out The Room before The Disaster Artist hits theaters this December.
