Country Star Carrie Underwood Announces a New Album, Tour and More!

It’s safe to say that country music star Carrie Underwood had a bit of a rough star to this year. After experiencing a pretty nasty fall back in November 2017, Underwood started off the year nursing a broken wrist and recovering from getting over 40 stitches in her face from cuts and lacerations. Thankfully for the former American Idol winner, wounds heal and now, Underwood is back, better than ever and, as it turns out, ready to head out on tour!

On Wednesday, Underwood shared the big news regarding a brand new tour which she will be kicking off starting in 2019. The Cry Pretty Tour 360, named for her newest single and her upcoming album titled Cry Pretty, steps off on May 1, 2019. In the below Facebook video, Underwood explains that the tour will be in a 360 round allowing her to interact more with the audience, which she especially loved from the previous tour.

Coming along with Underwood for the Cry Pretty Tour 360 is country music duo Maddie and Tae, and up and coming trio Runaway June.

Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, August 17th at 10 AM. Tickets purchased online come with a code to redeem a digital download copy of Underwood’s new album, Cry Pretty which is due out on September 14th.

The tour and the new album isn’t even the most exciting new which Underwood announced on Wednesday. As she points out in the video, 2019 seems pretty far off for a tour linked to an album that’s dropping next month. Why is there such a gap in time between the album drop and the tour?

It turns out a huge congratulations are in order for Underwood, her husband Mike Fisher and their son Isaiah. Underwood announced that they’re “adding another fish to their pond.” There’s a new baby on the way for Carrie and her family! Congratulations, Carrie, Mike and big brother Isaiah!
