‘Arrow’ Casts Slade Wilson’s Son for Season 6’s Two-Part Deathstroke Arc

In a recent interview with Collider, Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim spoke briefly about the two-part episode arc during the first half of season 6 that focuses on Slade Wilson/Deathstroke (Manu Bennett). Slade made an appearance at the end of Season 5 and it was announced that he would be a part of the story heading into the show’s sixth season. “We’re doing a cool two-parter where the flashbacks will be from Slade’s perspective. It’s very much a Slade-Oliver two-hander,” Guggenheim said.
Well, EW was able to provide a small nugget of new information about the upcoming episodes. Lucifer alum Liam Hall has been cast to play Slade Wilson’s son, Joe and will appear in both episodes. Joe Wilson has been on a very similar path as his father by “joining the secret Australian military agency, A.S.I.S. After years of brutal combat, Joe now finds himself in a remote Kasnian prison under the alias, Kane Wolfman, fighting for his life.”
Joe Wilson isn’t the first of Slade’s sons to appear in the Arrowverse. Grant Wilson, played by Jamie Andrew Cutler (below), appeared as Deathstroke in 2046 on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
Arrow will return Thursday, Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
