Alicia Silverstone wants another shot at Batgirl Role
When the news broke that Joss Whedon has plans to bring a Batgirl film to the DCEU, DC fans were ecstatic! Another iconic DC female would get the lead in her own film! However, Joss Whedon’s Batgirl will not be the first time we have seen Batgirl in the filmverse; that honor goes to Alicia Silverstone, who brought Batgirl to life in the film Batman and Robin.
In an interview with USA Today, promoting her new film Diary of a Wimpy Kind: The Long Haul, she discussed her previous role of Barbara Wilson in the film. She expressed that she would like another crack at the role, thinking she could do a much better time ‘a second time around’:
“I feel like I could do a much better Batgirl now than I did then. It would be fun to tackle it again because I’m older and my acting is better. I know I would bring so much more to it. I was just a baby. It was a different thing. But I had fun back then. And I think it would be fun to do it again.”
“That costume was so uncomfortable. Maybe something more comfortable would be nice. Something you can sit in. Something you can get out of to pee.”
Would you like to see Alicia Silverstone do a ‘take 2’ on the Batgirl role??
