‘The Walking Dead’ In Memoriam – A Tribute to Those We Lost During the First 99 Episodes
Spoiler Alert! Only read on if you are caught up with The Walking Dead television series!
As we approach the monumental 100th episode of The Walking Dead and what’s sure to be an explosive start to a truly epic eighth season, we should also take a moment to look back and see how far the series has come. Our favorite characters have evolved and changed as the world has become more dangerous and unstable. Unfortunately, in this unpredictable Walking Dead universe, that means we’ve had to say goodbye to some of our favorites. Before we reach that 100th episode and we look forward to 100 more, we thought it was important to honor those we have lost along the way.
Since the very first season, we’ve said goodbye to some incredible characters who will never be forgotten. We will never forget the first time that we saw Sophia Peletier walk out of that barn or, the first time we heard Carol exclaim, “Just look at the flowers!” These scenes, though highly emotional and devastating to some fans, helped to shape our current group of survivors. Through their losses, they have overcome and continue to fight to live. Like Glenn told Enid in episode 607 – Heads Up, “You honor the dead by going on. Even when you’re scared. You live because they don’t get to.”
The below gallery pays tribute to just a few of those impactful characters that we’ve lost along the way. Take a look through our ‘In Memoriam Gallery’ below. Here’s hoping we make it through episode 100 without adding to this list!
