‘The Walking Dead’: Daryl and Carol Prepare to Fight a Massive Walker Mob in New Season 8 Premiere Clip

With just days left to go before the epic 100th episode of The Walking Dead, AMC has released a brand new sneak peek clip of the season 8 premiere.

We know that there is an all-out war looming between our survivors and the saviors but, getting to that point, of course, will involve overcoming some obstacles.  One such obstacle is featured in the clip below.  The footage begins with Carol (Melissa McBride), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Morgan (Lennie James) and Tara (Alanna Masterson) meeting up after what looks like a fiery battle had taken place.  It’s quickly revealed that a huge herd of walkers is approaching but, perhaps that was the plan all along.  It appears that Carol, Daryl, Morgan and Tara may have been working together to divert the massive herd from whichever direction they were heading.  Tara exclaims to the group, “pleasure doing business with you,” before walking off and Morgan soon follows after saying, “beat ’em!”

There is a touching moment between Carol and Daryl where the two embrace.  We just LOVE their relationship.  After that adorable hug, it appears that Carol starts to walk off, leaving Daryl to do what he does best – ride that motorcycle to draw the walkers even further away.  Check out the clip below:

We can’t wait for the season to start!  The official synopsis reads:

‘Last season, Rick Grimes and his group of survivors were confronted with their deadliest challenge yet. With the comfort of Alexandria, they let their guard down, only to be reminded how brutal the world they live in can be.

Feeling powerless under Negan’s rules and demands, Rick advocated the group play along. But seeing that Negan couldn’t be reasoned with, Rick began rallying together with other communities affected by the Saviors. And with the support of the Hilltop and Kingdom, they finally have enough firepower to contest the Saviors.

This season, Rick brings “All Out War” to Negan and his forces. The Saviors are larger, better-equipped, and ruthless — but Rick and the unified communities are fighting for the promise of a brighter future. The battle lines are drawn as they launch into a kinetic, action-packed offensive.

Up until now, survival has been the focus of Rick and our group, but it’s not enough. They have to fight to take back their freedom so that they can live. So that they can rebuild. As with any battle, there will be losses. Casualties. But with Rick leading the Alexandrian forces, Maggie leading the Hilltop, and King Ezekiel leading the Kingdom — Negan and the Saviors’ grip on this world may finally be coming to an end.‘

Season 8 of The Walking Dead will premiere this Sunday, October 22nd at 9 pm on AMC!  Are you ready to go to war?
