We’ve almost made it! Just 10 more days left until the Game of Thrones premiere of what is sure to be an epic and mindblowing 7th season of the hit HBO series. And with this being the second to last season of the series, you can be that some incredible and awesome things are going to be happening to our favorite characters.
You don’t have to wait until the season premiere, however, to see something incredible and awesome and Game of Thrones related. YouTuber and artist Tetiana Galitsyna has created the amazing video below showing different Game of Thrones characters and scenes magically and artistically being drawn with sand.
Now, you may be thinking, “well, come on now. Anyone can build a sand castle or make a little drawing on the beach shoreline,” and to that, we say, “you know nothing, Jon Snow.” We’d challenge you to find someone who can create the detailed, and realistic look and features that Galitsyna has created in the video below. The video includes portraits of the Jamie Lannister, Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, and the White Walker general. (I mean, I assume he was a general. He was at least a higher rank than the others, right? Zombie horse and all?)
The video includes portraits of the Jamie Lannister, Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, and a White Walker. The portraits are made by simply drawing in the sand which is backlit to reveal the true magic of the sand art. Simply moving the sand and piling it on thicker in some place and thinner in others creates the illusion of shadow and contouring which makes this sand art so lifelike and incredibly impressive.
Check out the amazing video below. Game of Thrones will return for its 7th season on July 16th on HBO.
