Hey there, fellow nerdlings! It’s time for another Throwback Thursday!
After journeying to Katsucon this past weekend, I saw a lot of pretty cool cosplays! I always do love it when people do group cosplays and at this con, I saw a lot of good ones. One of those was a group of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
This got me feeling rather nostalgic, so naturally when I went home I watched the 1990 movie (and yes, I did order pizza to go along with watching a movie, because let’s be honest here: whenever you watch the Turtles…. pizza is a requirement).
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a 1990 American superhero action film directed by Steve Barron. The movie was based on the original comic book characters. The movie was released on March 30, 1990, and the film centered around the origin story of Splinter and the Turtles. We then saw them meet both April O’Neil and Casey Jones, which led to them taking on the wicked Shredder and his foot clan.
One fun fact, the turtle costumes were developed by Jim Henson!

Who else remembers this movie?!
