The ‘Veronica Mars’ Cast is Back Together in First Table Read Photo

I finally have more than a casting announcement for you Marshmallows! Thanks to Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas we have our first look at the cast back in action at their kickoff table read. Thomas shared a photo of various actors who have been confirmed to be returning, saying that the photo is an “indication of who is in episode 1” but fear not Dick Casablancas fans, that “doesn’t mean your fave doesn’t come in later.” Check out the pic below!

The photo features the lovely Kristen Bell, who is reprising her role as the titular PI, along with Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls), Percy Daggs III (Wallace Fennel), Daran Norris (Cliff McCormack), Enrico Colantoni (Keith Mars), and David Starzyk (Richard Casablancas). Newcomers Dawnn Lewis and Patton Oswald are also featured in addition to Kirby Howell-Baptiste who will be playing a Neptune nightclub owner, Clifton Collins Jr. who will be a mid-level cartel hitman, and Izabela Vidovic who is playing a young girl suffering a tragic loss.

Previously announced actors returning to the series who are not featured in the photo include Ryan Hansen (Dick Casablancas), Francis Capra (Weevil), and Max Greenfield (Leo D’Amato).  Kristen Bell recently shared a photo of the first script of eight-episode revival, which revealed that the episode would be called “Spring Break Forever”.

Here is the official synopsis of the series:

[row]“Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into a mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”[/row]

Are you excited to see the gang back together?! Veronica Mars is set to hit Hulu in 2019.
