The ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ Cast Recreated Iconic Teen Movie Moments

If you’ve been a Netflix user this past year, chances are you’ve either watched or been tempted to watch one of the many romantic comedies the streaming giant has been churning out. From When We First Met and Set It Up, to The Kissing Booth, the beloved genre is making a triumphant comeback and their latest submission To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is no different.  The charming teen romance tells the tale of Lara Jean Covey, a high school junior who writes letters to the boys she has huge crushes on only for those letters to be mysteriously mailed out, turning her life completely upside down.

The film definitely tugged at the teen heartstrings and featured some callbacks to popular teen movies of the past including Sixteen Candles. Well, the author of the young adult novel the movie is based on, Jenny Han, took the nostalgic charm up a notch when she had some the movie’s awesome cast recreate iconic moments from teen movies of the past.

There was our new OTP Lara Jean (Lana Condor) and Peter (Noah Centineo) recreating Dirty Dancing:

Then there’s Israel Broussard, who played Josh in the movie, doing his best Breakfast Club fist pump:

Here’s Madeline Arthur, who played Lara Jean’s best friend, Chris, channeling Say Anything’s, Jon Cusack:

And last but certainly not least, here’s the adorable Centineo honoring the legendary Heath Ledger’s 10 Things I Hate About You dance number.

The movie also stars Sex and the City’s Jon Corbett as Lara’s dad with Pretty Little Liars’ Janel Parrish and Descendant’s 2‘ Anna Cathcart as Lara’s sisters. The screenplay was written by Sofia Alvarez and it was directed by Susan Johnson. Everything about To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before from the movie to the cast is absolutely perfect and we need Netflix to make a sequel so that we can have it all over again.
